Asphalt driveway sealcoating and patching are common resolutions for driveways in the 5 to 10-year-old range. Asphalt patching is suggested for any area that has significant cracking or breakage in the pavement. If left unchecked, this unstable situation will only worsen over time.

With the patching process, the affected asphalt will be removed. New aggregate is then placed under the broken area to create a stable base. New asphalt is installed next and within 2-3 weeks a new overall driveway sealcoat is applied to extend the life of the entire driveway. Sealcoating also restores driveways to a nice, fresh black color.
Regular asphalt maintenance is critical for the longevity of your driveway. Yearly sealcoating is suggested. For drives that have low areas or spots where the asphalt has cracked significantly, patching or crack filling is also suggested.
